A couple weeks ago I took the girls to JW Marriott San Antonio for their Light Up the Night celebration. It was the third time we’ve attended this magical weekend and now one of our favorite holiday traditions! Before our trip I showed Piper videos and photos from the last time we were there when she was two. From that point on she kept asking when we were leaving to go back to the North Pole! From the elves, to Santa and the snow machine, it truly does feel like you’re visiting a hill country version of the North Pole.

Light Up the Night is the kick off weekend for all their holiday festivities. I highly recommend attending the celebration next year but if you’re looking for a last minute holiday staycation, they have festive activities happening until the end of the month!

I’d call to check the holiday schedule but they have a daily light show, gingerbread house making, Elf on a Shelf scavenger hunt, peppermint chocolate holiday s’mores, Christmas cookie decorating, a polar plunge, holiday movies and horse carriage rides. Plus the pool is heated!

 My sister and eleven year old niece came along and she loved all the activities. There’s truly fun things to see and do for kids of all ages all over the gorgeous property.
