Helping you celebrate every day colorfully. My mission? To make party-throwing a piece of cake!

Over the last few months we’ve had the opportunity to work with the Modern Luxury HOUSTON Magazine team on their 10th Anniversary Party and all of it came to life last Thursday night at The Astorian. We helped create mini experiences using a handful of their feature issues so guests would feel like they are living in HOUSTON magazine. We infused our signature C&C custom details and styling throughout the party and it came together beautifully. En Vogue Events was there to execute the event flawlessly and it was such a great experience to work with so many talented vendors!
If you follow us on Instagram (@cakeandconfetti) you probably saw our post last week of the large 10 marquee sign we made. It was a time consuming process but we love the final product and it was a focal point on the main bar during the event.
For the VIP Area we hung hundreds of clear ornaments to create the look of champagne bubbles to line the windows. It really added a lot to the space without obstructing the view of the downtown skyline.
The Fresh Faces of Fashion area included some of our favorite things: bright colors, amazing clothes and tasty libations. We had models wearing the latest spring trends from TOOTSIES standing next to our super colorful signature drink bar (pictured above). We asked the ice sculptor add in some citrus fruit to the slab of ice that the signature drinks were displayed on that also kept the drinks cold during the event.
For the Men of Style section, the dapper male models styled by Saks stood on either side of the bar filled crafted whiskey cocktails. Johanna Terry Events created the tufted backdrop outlined with marquee lights that tied in nicely with the Edison bulb fixture above the dance floor.
The Arts & Power area of the party was highlighted by the five models that were painted with past Arts & Power covers. The airbrush artists at J&D Entertainment did such a great job turning the covers into works of art!
Other details from the event included an interactive display of the Best of the City features, Smilebooth snapped photos of guests on the cover of HOUSTON Magazine, The Suffers kept the dance floor full all night and the custom pillows added a personalized touch to all the lounge furniture placed throughout the space.
Thanks again to all the other vendors that helped us bring HOUSTON magazine to life!
