This past Sunday we hosted our first Get Crafty Workshop of 2015 and oh boy was it fun! We teamed up with our friends, Jenny from A Fine Flourish and Jessie from Miss J’s Sugar Cookies to create a three hour action-packed Valentine’s workshop. Each of us taught mini sessions while the attendees nibbled on treats from Bite Macarons and Cacao & Cardamom.
Katie & Co. graciously opened the doors of her adorable stationary shop and it was absolutely perfect! As the attendees arrived, they had their choice of two crafted champagne cocktails – a Grapefruit Elderflower Sparkler or a Raspberry Sorbet Float. Both were equally delicious and garnished with a glittery heart stir stick.
In the first session, Cake & Confetti taught the attendees to make a bouquet of paper flowers (completely out of paper napkins we might add) and piñata inspired Valentines. All the flowers and cards turned out so cute! Up next, Jenny taught a 45 minute beginner calligraphy session. She covered technique, products, practicing and the attendees finished with writing a message on their newly created Valentines. Last but not least, Jessie showed everyone how she paints on her delicious sugar cookies. It was so fun to watch some of the attendees use the skills from the calligraphy session to write on their cookies! Each of them left with a box full of decorated treats to give to someone special.
Michelle Able captured some pretty amazing action shots and you can tell by all the smiles – the afternoon was a ton of fun!
