I shared the colorful Christmas party with y’all last week and as promised we’re showing how to make the pegboard tree backdrop featured in the photos. This was one of my favorite elements of the colorful Christmas party and I love the idea as an alternative to a traditional tree. I definitely plan to recreate a similar version for our living room because we don’t have room for a Christmas tree in the room. The pegboard makes it easy to transport plus you don’t have to put any holes in the walls, serious win in my book! It’s perfect for a kids bedroom/playroom, small apartment or office.
Phuong of Mibellarosa took the inspiration for the project and ran with it creating an easy to assemble Christmas tree using magnolia leaves. She’s sharing the steps below to create your own at home!
You can use pretty much any kind of greenery you’d like from Christmas furs to eucalyptus, but I really love the dual-toned magnolia plus it lasts a while without water!
Congratulations on your new Pegboard Christmas Tree! It’s an alternative to traditional trees, and I bet you’ll have fun making decorations for it.
