There might be record breaking temps all across the country but summertime screams outdoor dinner parties. We’re heading to Colorado in a couple weeks and I’m so excited to sit out on the back deck for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I pulled together no fuss dinner party inspiration using items from Bed Bath & Beyond just in case you have the itch to dine al fresco like me.

 I bought every blush pink shatterproof wine glass they had in store because I loved them so much. We spend so much time going in and outside and to be honest, I end up accidentally breaking the glass ones anyways. I foresee these being my go-to from now on! The strawberry plates, navy polka dot napkins and green stripe placemats are all part of the Kate Spade line sold at Bed Bath & Beyond as soon as I saw it I fell in love. I always try to stretch myself when it comes to color schemes for tablescapes and I really love how this one came together. 

I used leftover flowers from a birthday party and added in a few bright flowers from our yard to take the muted color palette up a notch. I kept the food and cocktails strawberry themed so I whipped up an easy strawberry spinach salad, berries tossed with mint lime dressing, and bowl of ice to keep the extra strawberry popsicles cold. The poptails (vodka, sparkling water and strawberry popsicles) are one of my go-to drinks during the summer. The popsicle keeps the drink cold as it melts without diluting it like ice. The berry tart for dessert from Central Market and always a crowd pleaser plus it looks a thousand times better than I could make! One of my favorite details of the setup has to be the Kate Spade Serve and Store Bowls for the food. They come with the cutest scallop lids which are perfect to keep the bugs off the food while outside and store leftovers in the fridge. I’m all about kitchen items that are multipurpose so these are a huge hit on our house! 

Our backyard has come a LONG way over the past few months and I love spending time out here even in the heat of summer. What are your thoughts on eating outside even if it’s hot?!
