Helping you celebrate every day colorfully. My mission? To make party-throwing a piece of cake!

Our plans were a little derailed by the massive rain storm that hit Houston yesterday morning. My parent’s country club was supposed to have a parade, fun activities for the kiddos and a huge fireworks show we could see from my parent’s backyard but unfortunately it was all canceled. It literally rained on our parade! The weather cleared up late afternoon so we still made the most of our rainy holiday at my parents. I made Foodstirs firecracker push pops and I was shocked at how easy they were to make. The kit was delivered with everything I needed besides the wet ingredients and everything in the box is organic. I’ll definitely order from them again! My talented friend Jessie behind Miss J’s Bakeshop shared the cutest patriotic cookies on Instagram on Sunday night and I knew I had to have a dozen. We’re a family full of cookie monsters so these were gone before dinner!
Of course I couldn’t resist making a little balloon garland for photos. Trent called me crazy but I think he secretly likes my enthusiasm. 🙂 It only took twenty minutes with a balloon pump and it was well worth it, don’t you think?!
It’s so weird to have the holiday in the middle of the week but we’re heading to the Four Seasons this afternoon for a little staycation with Piper. I’m praying the weather cooperates so we can hang by the pool! I hope enjoy the rest of your holiday week/weekend!
