Piper’s Otomi inspired nursery in our last house is still one of my favorite rooms I’ve ever decorated. So much love goes into the sweet space and it’s my goal to create a beautiful yet functional room. I’m really excited to share my inspiration for baby girl number two’s pastel safari nursery with you!
Pastel Safari Nursery Sources:
Jungle Toile Wallpaper: I ordered several samples from Chasing Paper and was instantly inspired when I saw this one illustrated by Ariel Okin. I fell in love with the subtle animal details!
Scallop Wicker Sidetable: It’s currently sold out and my order is back-ordered until December but I’m praying it comes before then. I plan to put it next to the glider.
Woven Changing Basket: We used a traditional changing pad topper with Piper but I fell in love with this woven one when I saw it! The handles are nice so we can move it from room to room as needed.
Scallop Lampshade: I’m not sure if I’m going to have two sconces installed above the dresser or just find two brass lamps I like.
Bamboo Dresser: I purchased a vintage dresser on Etsy and I’m painting it! The dresser was $400 and shipping was $200 which will still be cheaper than the $2k finished options out there. I searched Facebook Marketplace locally but didn’t have much luck. The dresser arrives tomorrow and then we’ll paint it.
Elephant Basket: Super cute storage basket! A lot cheaper and better size than similar options out there.
Lion Painting: I have ordered a few prints from C. Brooke Ring for our house. I love her style and the colors she uses! She has this lion print that is absolutely perfect with the color scheme in the room. Once it arrives I’ll have the print framed.
