Helping you celebrate every day colorfully. My mission? To make party-throwing a piece of cake!

We can always find a reason to get our closest girlfriends together for a dinner party! In true Cake & Confetti fashion, we knew we wanted to make the evening extra special overflowing with personal details. We used the colors from a Glam Fete tassel garland as our inspiration. In lieu of traditional fall colors, we loved the idea of using emerald green, gold and shades of peach and pink to add in a fun girly touch. Before our friends arrived, we snapped some photos of our dessert table and tablescape.
Our dessert table served as the main focal point of our dining room. We made pumpkin cheesecake cups (recipe below!), a small cake and bought the most delicious pecan pie tarts from Trader Joe’s. We knew we wanted to keep it simple with fall inspired treats.
We’re all for effortlesss entertaining and semi-homemade recipes always make our lives so much easier. These mini pumpkin cheesecake cups were a huge hit!
Pumpkin Cheesecake Cups
1 box of Jell-O No Bake Cheesecake
1 15-ounce can of pumpkin
1 stick of butter
1 1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie seasoning
2 tablespoons sugar
1 container of whipped topping
Follow instructions on package for the graham cracker crust, mixing in melted butter and sugar until well combined. Put a spoonful of crust mixture into cups or cupcake liners. Press gently to create a smooth layer.
In a separate bowl, mix together cheesecake mix, milk and pumpkin puree. Use a hand mixer on medium speed or whisk to stir until well incorporated. Add in pumpkin pie seasoning.
Spoon or pipe mixture over crust, cover and let chill for 3 hours or until firm. Add a small scoop of whipped topping before serving. (We also added gold sprinkles for a little sparkle!)
Cake toppers with sayings or hashtags are really trendy right now. We custom made this “thankful for you” glitter cake topper which fit our theme perfectly!
When it comes to placecards, it’s handwritten all the way! Calligraphy is definitely a fine art that takes a lot of practice. Instead of tranditional calligraphy, we opted for brush lettering using airy watercolors.
We wanted to keep our table simple so we added in some glittery taper candlesticks and a lush greenery garland with garden roses. We always love incorporating natural textures into our tables. The garland helps us acheive that but still keeps the look simple.
We hope you have a fabulous (and glittery) Thanksgiving!
XO,
The C&C team
