Helping you celebrate every day colorfully. My mission? To make party-throwing a piece of cake!

Memorial Day is a week from TODAY! How is it already the end of May?! Where has 2018 gone? I guess it’s true… the days are long but the years are short because this has been the fastest 5 months of my life!
I love this time of year when we have 3 reasons to fly our American flag and celebrate our great country- Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day. Since there are so many red, white and blue holidays, I thought I would share a little round up of some of my favorite decor. I think some things can get a little tacky so these will help you celebrate without someone telling you “You look like the fourth of july!” (name that movie…. Does everyone know the words to Legally Blonde or just me?) Here are some cute patriotic ideas!
Stripes are an easy way to add color without going overboard. Y’all know my favorite color is pink so when I have to add red to something, I try to do it subtly but make it pop. I love how Courtney from Pizzazzerie styled this table for an outdoor dinner party.
What better way to celebrate America than with some punch? I love this Sparkling Sangria. The cut out fruit makes it so festive but it’s simple enough to throw together for a last minute get together. I’ve included the recipe below.
1 bottle dry white wine
2 cups fresh blueberries
1 cup fresh raspberries
1 cup apple juice
1 pound fresh strawberries, sliced
1 bottle champagne
3-4 Granny Smith apples
ice
Stir together white wine, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and apple juice together in a large pitcher. Cover and refrigerate for 1-4 hours, so that the flavors can meld. (Heads up that the longer the mixture sits, the more red it will become. When you’re ready to serve the sangria, gradually stir in the champagne and apples and ice. Serve immediately.
CRUNCHY HABANERO CHICKEN SLIDERS
Last year I posted about these amazing sliders. They’re perfect for a backyard BBQ and super easy to make. Click here for the recipe. They’re delicious and your guests won’t be disappointed!
