I know there are no shortage of pumpkin recipes floating around the internet this time of year but today I’m bring you a different take on the fall staple! One of my all-time favorite fall dishes is a savory white bean pumpkin chili – I’ll share that recipe soon. It’s SUPER easy! When I was brainstorming my next recipe with Harvest Snaps, I wanted to make a savory dip and prove that not all pumpkin recipes have to be sweet!
This hummus recipe and served in a hollowed out pumpkin to take your hostess skills up a notch, your guests won’t even know it was semi-homemade! It’s super easy to whip up and the pumpkin provides a thickness without all the calories.
Pumpkin Hummus Recipe
2 containers of original hummus
1/2 can of pumpkin
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tbsp pumpkin seeps (optional)
Combine all the ingredients together beside the pumpkin seeds in a bowl and refrigerate until you’re ready to serve. For the pumpkin bowl, you’ll take a small pumpkin (I used the pumpkin pie variety) and cut off the top with a knife. I used an ice cream scoop to remove the seeds and insides before adding the hummus! Then top with seeds right before you serve and pair with Harvest Snaps Caesar flavor. Check out the little step by step video I put together below!
It’s as easy as that! So what do you guys think? Have you tried a savory pumpkin recipe before? If so, I’d love for you to share your recipes with me!
Thank you Harvest Snaps for making this post possible.
