Typically the only fruit I share around here is found in the form of a cocktail or dessert, but with swimsuit season right around the corner, I’m switching things up! Today I’m talking about three ways I infuse fruit into my daily routine to keep me healthy, energized and ready for my beach vacation this summer as part of Tropicana’s #BelieveinYourGut campaign. If you take a glance at my Instagram, I know it seems like my diet is similar to Willy Wonka’s, but I assure you, I have more healthy habits than it seems!
I definitely follow the “everything in moderation” mantra, and with a job that has me constantly surrounded by delicious desserts and donuts covered in sprinkles, I use these tips and tricks to make sure I balance it all out!
Drinking enough water makes a huge difference in how you look and feel. When you’re fully hydrated, your skin and waistline are at their best. I add juice of half a lemon to my water bottle before I leave the house every day. I use this lemon squeezer to avoid the seeds and pulp getting mixed in. Using a straw is another great way to help you drink more water!
Start each day with a healthy tummy. I’ve started drinking Tropicana Probiotics every morning with my breakfast. Unlike a lot of other fruit juices, Tropicana Probiotics have no added sugar or artificial flavors, plus there’s over a billion live and active cultures. It comes in three flavors – Strawberry Banana, Pineapple Mango and Peach Passion Fruit. All of them are delicious, but the strawberry banana is my favorite! Using probiotics regularly helps decrease bloat and will have you ready for an impromptu pool day.
It’s no secret I have a major sweet tooth. Even if it’s a piece of dark chocolate, I always need something sweet after dinner. My first choice would be a cup of ice cream, but I’ve swapped it out for easy fruit sorbet. I put frozen fruit in a small blender or food processor, add a little bit of agave syrup and juice or a quarter of a lemon. It’s so simple to whip up and definitely satisfies my sugar craving!
Keep washed and cut up fruit in the fridge. When I go to the grocery store at the beginning of every week, I wash all the berries and cut off any stems so I can reach for them (instead of a cookie) when I’m craving something sweet!
Thank you Tropicana and Megan Media for making this post possible. All opinions expressed are my own. Tropicana Probiotics are available in multi- and single-serve sizes, next to other refrigerated juices nationwide.
