Helping you celebrate every day colorfully. My mission? To make party-throwing a piece of cake!

One of my best friends Ailee is having a little girl next week and we wanted to celebrate her last couple weeks before the little babe arrives with a fun slumber party at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston. I’ve stayed at the hotel a few times for weddings and other occasions over the years but they just went through a huge renovation and the lobby, spa and front entrance look completely different! The attention to detail of the whole first floor was a dream. We were there right before the reveal of the new hotel bar Bayou & Bottle but we were able to get a little sneak peak. I’m planning to make a trip back to try out the new cocktail menu.
When we first checked in, we went straight to the spa to get our nails done. It was the first time Ailee’s little girl, Isla had a manicure and it was pretty much the cutest thing ever! We all chose different shades of Deborah Lippmann pink polish and we gifted us our own mani sets by the designer to take home. Once we were done we sat by the pool sipping juice while our nails dried. We capped off a really fun day with an early dinner at Quatrro before spending the rest of the evening in our matching pjs from Hanna Andersson!
No slumber party would be complete without jumping on the bed and pillow fight. Isla had a little too much fun hitting me with pillows and I’ll definitely take the blame for creating a bad habit of playing on the bed more than sleeping in it! 🙂 I brought along a Sugarfina bento box filled with gummies and unicorn macarons from Wink by Erica. Isla kept referring to them as “horsie corn” cookies and when I was looking she ate three of them. It’s safe to say she’s probably spending a little too much time with her Mimicita because my sweet tooth is totally rubbing off on her!
To complete the whole staycation experience, we ordered breakfast to our room so we could stay in our pajamas a little longer. It was such a fun mini girls trip and a much needed break before Ailee has baby number two!
Huge thanks to the Four Seasons Hotel Houston for having us! Photos by Ailee Petrovic
