Helping you celebrate every day colorfully. My mission? To make party-throwing a piece of cake!

We all love the fluffy balloon garlands that the professional party companies set up. But we don’t always love the price that it comes with. To fill a party, hosts are easily spending $1500+ on balloon installations. But the good news is that after 10 years of running Cake and Confetti, I’ve figured out the how to recreate a fluffy balloon garland like a pro at home!
Step one is to buy the right balloons!
I’ve created an easy shoppable LiketoKnow it image below.
Amazon has all of the ones I used to make this balloon garland, but if I need more color and shape selections (without sacrificing quality) I’ll also buy from bargainballoons.com.
The three brands I gravitate to are:
Step two is to get a variety of sizes!
My go-to order for a fluffy balloon garland are grabbing the 5 inch, 11 inch, and a few 24 inch balloons too! This will give your garland a lot of dimension. And when you are placing your order, be sure to grab clear 260 balloons! These are the “balloon animal” balloons that you will use to tie your clusters together!
Step three is to assemble!

You will definitely want a balloon pump to save your lungs and cut your time significantly! I use this one from Amazon and it’s been great for years! I blow up two at a time then tie them together into a pair. I repeat this process until I have a bunch of pairs, then twist 2-3 pairs together to create a cluster. Save the 24 inch balloons until the end and just blow these up one at a time.
Next, I tie the 260’s into “bracelets” or loops and then connect the clusters together in whatever color order you’d like! To add the big 24 inch balloons, I’ll tie the 260 balloon directly to the 24 inch tie, then wrap that around the cluster at the end.
Keep repeating until you have the fluffy balloon garland of your dreams!
Step four is to secure to your wall!
