Helping you celebrate every day colorfully. My mission? To make party-throwing a piece of cake!

In an effort to share more personal posts on the blog I’m starting a new series! Every Friday I’ll round up five favorite things from the week to share with you guys. This might include moments worth celebrating – big or small, photos I’ve taken, a sneak peek of projects I’m working on, a recipe we tried for dinner and loved, a new favorite shirt or lipstick, etc! You name it!
My dear friend Brittany gave me this unicorn outfit as a shower gift and Ailee snapped a photo of Piper in it on Tuesday. I know I’m biased but I think she’s the cutest little unicorn! The rainbow swaddle was the perfect backdrop and is so soft. Definitely a new favorite!
Isla reading Piper Brown Bear, Brown Bear. I absolutely adore all of the Petrovic ladies and it was so special adding Piper to our little girl gang! I can’t wait to watch them all play together when Piper gets a little older.
I was SO bummed when we discovered ice cream hurt Piper’s tummy. Maybe that’s why she kicked so much when I ate it every night while pregnant?! All this time I thought she was moving because she liked it but now not so much. I always put almond milk in my cereal and coffee so the only thing I’ve eliminated is ice cream. I have a serious sweet tooth and really missed my nightly scoop! I bought coconut whipped cream and I’m pleasantly surprised by how good it is! I put raspberries, blackberries and pineapple in bowl with a couple scoops on top. Let me tell ya, it’s almost as good as froyo and berries!
I don’t think I fully understood the power of a trip to Target solo until I had a baby. With the flu so bad this season, we’re keeping her home 98% of the time which can feel really isolating at times. Piper and I were both having a bad day so Trent came home a little early and I handed her over and told him I needed a little me time. First stop Target! I bought a bunch of random things including these really fun silver flats. I have a similar version in pink and I love this pair just as much. I don’t know if it was the new shoes or the hour away from the house but I came home with a spring in my step!
Trent and I joke that we don’t know how new parents survived without Amazon Prime and Shipt. I love being able to have our groceries delivered from HEB within a few hours of placing the order. We used this before having Piper but now it’s a game changer!
