Over the fourth of July weekend, Trent, Piper and I had the best staycation at the Four Seasons Houston. Trent and I have stayed there before over July 4th but it now that I’m a mom I have a whole new appreciation for the amenities and convenience. We stayed in one of their poolside cabana rooms so we were able to put Piper down for a nap, take our baby monitor with us and relax by the pool only 20 feet away. I’m always so impressed by the hotel pool because I swear it doesn’t feel like you’re in the hottest part of the city. There’s such a nice breeze and plenty of shade so we all felt comfortable. If you’re in Houston you know feeling comfortable outside in July is really a treat!!

The staff were so accommodating during our stay. When we first checked in there was a pool bag filled with goodies in the room and the cutest Texas shaped sprinkle cookie for Piper. Luckily for me she’s too young to eat cookies so I got to enjoy it. 🙂 Piper isn’t a fan of the pack ‘n play so we’ve always had issues in hotel rooms but the Four Seasons was nice and set up a crib for her next to our bed so she felt right at home. 

We also checked out the TopGolf Suite when we were there. Piper was a trooper and took a little snooze in the stroller but if you have older kids, I definitely think they could get in on the action! It was pretty dark in there so I wasn’t able to get good photos but if you’re a golf fan, it would be great to reserve for a birthday party. Trent and I split a variety of things but the fried chicken and margarita were both our favorites! 

The next day we ordered room service while Piper took her morning nap. It was so nice to be able to sit outside on the porch with our breakfast and have a normal conversation without whispering or worrying about waking her up. I had banana pancakes and Trent had the breakfast burrito. Both were delicious but I’m a sucker for pancakes especially on a holiday weekend!

All in all we had a fabulous time at the hotel. Trent and I both agreed we’d come back for another staycation.
