Before Piper was born, I had high hopes to scheduling out a bunch of content but between the normal December craze and my lack of motivation, it didn’t happen. But you can’t win ’em all right?! So this is my first post back and I can’t think of a better way to kick off 2018 than an interview with Joy Cho of Oh Joy! I’ve been a huge fan of her brand for years now so having her on the blog is definitely a pinch me moment. Not only do I love her colorful style and products but if you follow her on Instagram, you’ll see a glimpse into her life and personality on IG stories. Between her two precious daughters and her daily dancing #ootd videos, you can tell Joy is all about using her platform to spread positivity. DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS?

Every year around the holidays we go through the toys in our house and select the ones to donate to a local charity called Baby2Baby that provides basic necessities to children and families in need.  It’s an opportunity to not only help others, but to also teach our daughters about giving back and to help others when they can.

FAVORITE PICK ME UP WHEN YOU’RE IN A RUT?

Either babies or boba!  I love holding a new baby – is there a better feeling? But there aren’t always babies around…so sometimes you have to settle for delicious milk boba tea!

FAVORITE GUILTY PLEASURE?

Probably reality TV (I may or may not know all the details about every season of the Bachelor)

TELL US ABOUT A KIND ACT SOMEONE DID FOR YOU RECENTLY? BIG OR SMALL!

Earlier this year, my husband had some health issues so our lives were turned upside down. Our friends that own a restaurant/catering company made up a huge spread for us that was not only so delicious but also very thoughtful of his dietary restrictions at the time. Food is one of the biggest ways to show love in my mind, and it helped us so much during a difficult time.

IN WHAT WAYS DO YOU USE YOUR BUSINESS TO SPREAD KINDNESS?

My company Oh Joy! is all about bringing happiness to the everyday. Whether it’s in the content that we create or the products that we make, it’s about making each day that much better.

WHO INSPIRES YOU MOST AND WHY?

My parents. They came to the US with only $600 and created four businesses and a family from scratch. Through their hard work and perseverance, they instilled in me and my brother the importance of hard work and the reality of dreams coming true.

You be you! It’s easy to compare yourself to others, especially with social media these days showing everyone’s highlight reel. But remember that YOU have something unique and authentic and specifically you to share with the world.
