I’m honored to have one of the most colorful gals on the Internet, Aww Sam sharing all about kindness today. The purpose of this series is to highlight people who make the world a brighter place and Sam is the epitome of that! Keep reading for a glimpse at Sam’s colorful world and how she spreads kindness!

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS?

I really like to make a point of giving strangers compliments about their outfits. Sometimes you are having a bad day and a stranger tells you they like your sunglasses or shoes or dress, and it can turn that day around and make you smile!

FAVORITE PICK ME UP WHEN YOU’RE IN A RUT?

Nothing helps to get me out of a rut faster than spending a few minutes playing with my cat, Sabbath. It helps take my mind off of work and gets me to laugh every time.

FAVORITE GUILTY PLEASURE?

My biggest guilty pleasure would have to be relaxing for a day catching up on all of my reality TV shows, like the Bachelor, Real Housewives, and RuPaul’s Drag Race. Sometimes it feels to just turn your brain off and laugh at the craziness on reality television.

TELL US ABOUT A KIND ACT SOMEONE DID FOR YOU RECENTLY? BIG OR SMALL!

Recently I received an email from a woman in Austin, TX who reached out to let me know that I inspired her and she believed I was a positive role model for women. I try to aspire everyday to bring a smile to people’s faces who view my content and this simple email reminded me that it is definitely worth it.

IN WHAT WAYS DO YOU USE YOUR BUSINESS TO SPREAD KINDNESS?

Aww Sam is all about making life a little more Aww-some (haha!) and everything I make is meant to inspire and encourage people to laugh, smile, and just feel a little better on a day to day basis. Whether it’s through a funny insta-story or a positive post, I think it’s important to be a vehicle for positivity and creativity.

WHO INSPIRES YOU MOST AND WHY?

That would have to be my Mom! She’s always been an encouraging figure in my life, and someone who I can talk to about anything, anytime. She owns her own cookie business and is definitely who I can thank for my creativity gene!

#WORDSTOLIVEBY:

Believe in yourself! I know that’s a cliche one, but it’s actually really important. Sometimes it can be hard to stay positive and feel good about what you are doing when things around you are going badly, and sometimes social media can make that worse, because you compare yourself to what seems like others’ perfect lives. But everyone faces adversity and not giving up on what you find important is all that really matters.
