Helping you celebrate every day colorfully. My mission? To make party-throwing a piece of cake!

I receive a lot of questions on and offline about my favorite entertaining tips and tricks. I usually a semi-homemade type of girl but think it’s really important to incorporate small details into your presentation to make guests feel special. I hosted a workshop this past Sunday to share some of these tips and show everyone that hosting doesn’t have to be a ton of work this holiday season! When I started planning a couple months ago I knew I wanted a real life setting so everyone could visualize how to apply the tips when they got home. Our friends over at On Point Custom Homes graciously opened one of their stunning homes and it was the perfect setting for the workshop! I taught how to make an evergreen garland, festive ways to decorate a cake, building a picture perfect charcuterie board and of course, festive cocktails. I asked Britt Williams of Butter Artistry to share her top makeup and hair tips for sprucing yourself up five minutes before your guests arrive (her secret for getting red lipstick to stay on all night was my personal fave!). Needless to say, it was a jam packed afternoon but SO much fun! Each attendee left with the garland they made, mini cake, a hostess guide with ideas and recipes plus box filled with goodies from Willow Crowns, Organized Life Design, Fave4 and a little sweet treat from C&C! My very talented friend, Ailee Petrovic attended the workshop and was sweet enough to capture all of the action.
How cute is the above cake that blogger, Lauren Mills of Sunday Beach decorated?!
You can see more photos from this workshop and other workshops I’ve hosted under #getcraftyworkshops on Instagram. Also, if you missed out on the fun and looking for hostess inspiration, I’m sharing a tip a day on social media starting tomorrow until Christmas Day so be sure to follow along using #cakeandconfettitips
