Helping you celebrate every day colorfully. My mission? To make party-throwing a piece of cake!

I have so many memories going on picnics when I was growing up. Whether it was at the neighborhood park or even in our backyard, my mom would always make the whole experience really special. My love for picnics has carried into my adult life, I even styled a picnic for our engagement pictures that I’ll have to share on here eventually! Nowadays we’re always so connected to our phones, computers or TVs and a picnic is the perfect opportunity to unplug and enjoy a pretty day outside with friends or family.
It has FINALLY cooled off in Houston which means it’s fall picnic season! Plus I just got this amazing picnic blanket from Fatboy and I couldn’t wait to use it. There are little balloon animals, donuts and pineapples designed into the pattern which is kind of difficult to see on the shop photos but it’s seriously adorable! Even though it looks like the rug, the fabric is a heavy duty canvas that’s water resistant.
I kept the food pretty simple, I picked up mini pumpkin bread loafs, pumpkin macarons and walnut chocolate chip cookie from a local bakery, whole apples as the fruit option and made the queso fresco butternut squash crostini’s from this post. To keep with the fall theme, I mixed equal parts spiced apple cider with champagne to create a fun sparkling cocktail. The copper coups are a great alternative to plastic cups and you don’t have to worry about them breaking in the picnic basket.
I’ve linked the items used at the bottom of this post. I hope this inspires you to unplug sometime this fall and enjoy a picnic in the park!
