Helping you celebrate every day colorfully. My mission? To make party-throwing a piece of cake!

A few weeks ago, I co-hosted a baby shower honoring one of my closest friends, Shauna. It felt so good to throw a party again! It’s been a while since I’ve hosted a celebration of any size, so I might have gone a tad overboard. I’m sure y’all expect nothing less! The blue and white floral baby shower is the perfect mix of elegant and fun, just like the mama-to-be!
Shauna is having a boy but isn’t big on themes, so we decided to keep things elegant with blue and white florals. I always love seeing behind the scenes of the creative process, so I’m sharing my inspiration board below!
There was a 90% chance of rain the day of the shower, but thankfully the rain held out until the party was over! Even though most of the guests were vaccinated, we wanted to make everyone feel safe by keeping the majority of the party outdoors. I love how everything came together!
I always like to have a main focal point or wow factor when hosting. The mimosa bar we rented from Pop Up Sweet Carts was the first thing you saw when guests walked into the backyard. Plus, the blue and white awning tied everything together perfectly!
I used my Cricut to cut labels removable vinyl for the mimosa bar, then stuck to shatterproof carafes for the juices. We had champagne, iced tea in a drink dispenser, and non-alcoholic bubbly for the mama-to-be! I finished off the bar with gorgeous blue and white floral drink stirrers from Acrylic Sticks. If you love fun party details, you have to check out all their amazing designs! I have a slight obsession with these reusable cocktail accessories, and they were kind enough to share a discount code with y’all! Use CAKEANDCONFETTI for 15% off your order.
Can we talk about how stunning the mama-to-be is?! I’m linking her dress from Pink Blush if you’re pregnant and have a baby shower this summer. Glamfetti created the beautiful balloon backdrop to match the theme using a metal circle rented from Pop Up Sweet Carts!
Megan Marie Calligraphy illustrated the acrylic signs from Glamfetti and the hand-painted Vevue bottle that served as the guest book. The rest of the vendors and sources are listed below!
