Helping you celebrate every day colorfully. My mission? To make party-throwing a piece of cake!

I’m super excited to have fellow confetti lover, Maghon Taylor on the blog today! I came across her business through Instagram a couple years ago and have always appreciated her positivity and love for making life a party. You can take one look at her feed and realize why I’m such a fan of hers – bright pink, confetti and piñatas – what more could you want?! In all seriousness I heard Maghon speak earlier this year during an online summit we were both apart of and the heart behind her business is so empowering. Read on to see how Maghon uses her talents to make the world a kinder place!
Yes! Actually every Friday we load up in the car with Vance and our golden doodle Teddy Confetti and drive to our local Starbucks. We get SO excited about who will pull in behind us because it is our weekly tradition to treat them to coffee. Each time we tell them to have a good weekend. We play upbeat music all the way there and back and it is the absolute best way to kick off our weekend.
To do something nice for somebody else. That’s actually how our coffee tradition started, I was a brand new sleep-deprived mama and we had a particularly rough night. I desperately needed coffee and I found myself sulking in the Starbucks drive thru line. I thought to myself — What can I do to make myself feel better, and it was overwhelmingly obvious that if i brightened someone else’s day, it would brighten mine, as well.
Reading a book in a bubble bath until the water gets cold. I could stay in there all day and it’s my favorite place to unwind.
In August I was doing a Facebook Live video to celebrate All She Wrote Notes turning 4 years old. During the live stream, I was verbally attacked by a group of European hackers that started hurling insults (more than 1,500 comments) at me during the broadcast. They were attacking everything from my faith, to my appearance, my voice, and even my sweet mama and it was very hard to endure (especially being live). I stoped the video and I asked the viewers to please pray with me. With their support, we got through it and I truly believe goodness and joy prevailed over all of the negativity. The next day I was blown away. I had more than 250 kind messages of love and encouragement from fans who had been watching it all go down and they picked me up more than they will ever know. I had been bullied in the past, and so my heart was really tender and broken over this, but I could never have imagined how many people would stand up for me. Out of all the messages, my favorite was from a little girl named Allison and she asked her mama if she could write me a letter. She said the SWEETEST things ever and totally made me cry! I will always remember her kindness.
Our mission is spreading happiness through my handwriting, so before I post anything, write anything or share any kind of story online, I think to myself– is this going to make someone happy? We encourage our friends to do something every day that makes them happy and in turn, spread that joy to someone else in their life. We are big fans of the handwritten note, so in each package we include a postcard that says “You make my life a party!” It is our way of thanking the customer, but also encouraging them to pass that postcard on to someone they love!
Mamapreneurs. My business was my first baby and I poured everything I had into it for several years before we found out we were going to welcome Vance this year. I prayed over and over for the strength to decide if I was going to keep working, or stay with Vance and I heard the Lord tell me so clearly — Maghon, I gave you this business AND this baby. Being a working mom is a huge challenge, and even more-so when you own your own business. I have a tremendous amount of respect for mama’s who still continue to chase their own dreams and passions while also chasing littles. I think that so many people make having kids out to be so stressful and hard, — but I love being a Mom more than I could ever imagine and it is actually a whole lot of FUN. I wrote a letter to all the moms that have ever heard “YOU JUST WAIT” on my blog.
My life motto is Work Hard, Stay Sweet, Trust God, Love Deep. This is my original quote and favorite saying and It is everything I want to live by and be known for.
